Super healthy kebab for MTB and Moto riders. Enjoy!

It’s often difficult to find healthy food options when you want to increase your fitness for MTB or MOTO, especially when you are travelling. That’s why we love this recipe so much – you can easily bulk cook it and take it with you for riding days.

Kebab Ingredients:

  • Rolled pork shoulder (2-3kg)
  • Garlic
  • Onion Salt
  • Italian herbs
  • Ground cumin
  • Salt
  • Peper
  • Paprika

Tsatsiki Ingredients:

  • 1 cucumber
  • 500ml Greek yogurt
  • Salt + pepper
  • Garlic
  • Dill

On The Side:

  • Sweet potato
  • Red onion
  • Red + Green pepper
  • Whole garlic cloves
  • Lettuce
  • Tomato

There are various ways to cook this, the one shown in the video is our preferred because it keeps the meat moist. But as mentioned, you can follow the same process in and put it in the oven. And if you’re even more pushed for time you can run the marinade over the outside of a pork shoulder and do the while thing in the oven without chopping.

Why is this so kebab so good?

Protein is arguably one of the more difficult things to get into your diet without bringing with it unwanted poor quality foods. Pork is a reasonably lean meat but in this case you can be sure it’s good quality because it’s a single cut and has not been manipulated by anyone but you. This is a great way to be with food, especially meat so you can avoid any nasty additives.

On the side, it is obvious the nutritional content is great. Obviously you can choose other sides for this dish but we urge everyone to consider the nutritional density of the foods they are eating. Why? Performance only comes from health, don’t rely only on tracking your macro nutrients, you may be missing out on some very important micronutrients.

Although we are raving on about the health benefits of this meal, I know there are some areas you can improve on – salt for instance. But at the end of the day this needs to be tasty too. If you’re concerned over your salt intake and can’t avoid salty foods around this meal then reduce it for sure.
