Most Mountain Bikers Can’t do this! – A workout challenge!
Most mountain bikers can’t do this workout! The reason is due to the pistol squat, the holy grail – if you will – of single leg strength as a bodyweight only movement.
This workout is designed to increase strength, endurance, and overall ability to help you on the bike. BUT as always with us, we throw a challenge in to test you! Do you think you can complete it?
What is the challenge?
1x Pistol Squat – right leg
1x Clockwise ‘Halo’
1x Pistol Squat – left leg
1x Anti-clockwise ‘Halo’
Each round you add a rep to each, all the way up to 10 reps on each! It’s a beast and as you can see in the video, even Jonny found it tough! You can make the pistol squats easier by squatting to a box or chair, or if they’re just too hard, sub them out for a cossack squat.
